It's been a while since I posted last. I have been shooting but not taking the time to do a blog post. So this past Sunday (3-1-15) I did 2 shoots in one day. At 10am I had a maternity/family shoot. In one word I can sum up the shoot. COLD! The temp was supposed to feel like 1 degree with the wind. But man did I have a bunch of ideas, but those went out the window the second I got out of my car. So it was hurry up and shoot as they (the Krenke family) also have a 2 1/2 year old and she was super cold. Well frankly so was I. So I didn't waste any time. I got about 20 to 25 minutes of shooting time before we couldn't stand it and they wanted to be outdoors. I also really didn't have a choice in rescheduling as she is due any day.
The second half of the day i Got to do my very first and possibly last shoot of that nature. Naa... who am I kidding I don't give up after one go at it. But wow did i learn a lot I must say. Once again had a bunch of ideas in my lil ol head but ran out of time. It didn't help I was reluctant to hold or move the lil man. I have never held an 8 day old before. The youngest i have handled was probably 1 year old.
Well here are a few shots from the maternity/family shoot. Enjoy!
On Sunday the 23rd, I had the great honor of taking pictures of Juan and Tera Castillo. The images were for their "hold the date" for the renewal of vows. Then little man Romeo got the chance to get in front of my camera again. Actually when he came over he knew exactly where he was going. It was a super funny moment I thought, as his last visit was at least 6 months ago. Yet he remembered right where to go and "B" lined it. Here are a couple of the final images of the hold the date and some family shots to. Enjoy. And keep it classy
So I have had the idea to photograph board games and any other "games" I find interesting. I have had this idea for at least six months now. So finally yesterday I put the plan into motion. The idea is to photograph each game in a cool and different manor. Meaning light painting and FIRE as a couple examples. Today I took the dice shot, I'm not 100% happy with it. So I will revisit it again in the future. But I was really put to the test as it took over 700 pics to get the one I ended up using. This is going to be fun for sure. What do you think should be the next game I should shoot next?
Yup, you read it right. This post is about a beer product shoot I did with a friend for his home brew (Brian Jacobs). We didn't really have anything as far as expectations set for this little escapade. So we winged it and had fun with trying all sorts of things with beer. It went really well considering I have never had any way to test the waters of product photography before. All I know for sure is I had fun in doing this. And so things are clear only a few bottles of beer paid the ultimate price, and none were to being drank. I must say though I really enjoyed doing the product shoot. And I for sure would go ahead and do it again no hesitations at all. Well here are a few of the many shots that were taken. Enjoy and don't drink and drive. Sorry had to say it.
So this morning I headed out very very early this morning (2am or so) due to lack of being able to sleep. I have been wanting to try and capture these 2 shots for some time. But I kept putting them off and putting them off for some reason. If I had to guess why. It was because I seem to have become a lazy photographer who has started to lose focus and determination. I did have one more shot I wanted to get but needed a zoom lens to get the shot and for some reason I only grabbed my new favorite lens the 35mm. Oh well I hope you enjoy these 2 images and make today a good one.
